A Quick Look Back At Mid Winter on Twitter
I am now tracking my stats on Twitter far more closely than ever before on the documents Are Go Website and even if it’s a little basic it still shows what gets some traction. Twitter has been looked at with some cynicism and trepidation since it was started, by the wags and talking heads in the media. This was partly because they didn’t understand it, the audience that they were playing to didn’t or both.
Twitter has been around for more than eight years now. It’s gaining traction with advertising as well as the potential it has for spectacle and promotion. I think it’s safe to say your brand should be on Twitter at this point. The three following embedded tweets don’t look like much but they are a start and an indication of what is working on this channel.

This tweet had a Twitter engagement rate at 60%:

Finally, the Liners of The Ocean Website had a good month, another of my properties. This tweet shows how to get some attention as everyone seems to love a good shipwreck that follows @linersotheocean:

My objective on Twitter, for the month of March, is to get Twitter cards active on all three of these profiles. From there, a bit of judicious advertising might build some action.
